The company took to Twitter to reveal both the OnePlus Nord N10 and OnePlus Nord N100.
What Are The OnePlus Nord N10 and Nord N100?
Both of these phones are targeted at budget-conscious smartphone shoppers. However, the Nord N10 falls into a rather confusing place, as its £329/€329 (about $429) price tag makes it only marginally more expensive than the OnePlus Nord, which is superior to the new OnePlus Nord N10 in every aspect. Anyone looking to snag a midrange phone would be far better off spending the additional £50 to get the Nord.
Still, the OnePlus Nord N10 comes with decent enough specs for the price. It has a 6.49-inch IPS LCD display with a fast 90Hz refresh rate, a fairly basic Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor, 6GB RAM, and four rear cameras. It sports 128GB of internal storage and comes in a Midnight Ice color. The phone comes with support for 5G, which is nice to have for the relatively low price point.
The Nord N100 is a phone that makes far more sense for the company, as it’s the first truly cheap device for OnePlus. It comes with a £179/€179 (about $233) price tag, which makes it a true entry-level device. OnePlus has typically been a flagship-first company, but it has shifted towards midrange devices lately. Now, this puts the company squarely in the entry-level area.
As far as the specs, the OnePlus Nord N100 comes with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with a slower 60Hz refresh rate. There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor running the show and 4GB of RAM. It only has 64GB of internal storage, but that’s to be expected for a phone with such a low price point. And while there’s no fast charging, OnePlus did include a large 5,000mAh battery. There’s also a triple-lens camera setup on the back and a basic 8MP selfie camera on the front. The phone comes in a Midnight Frost color.
Where Will The New OnePlus Phones Launch?
OnePlus confirmed that the new Nord devices will launch in the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America. Hearing that phones are coming to North American shores makes the existence of the Nord N10 makes sense, as the original OnePlus Nord never made its way to the continent.
For all regions, OnePlus did not provide any concrete info on release dates yet, so we’ll have to wait and see when we can actually get our hands on these affordable smartphones.
