As announced at The Game Awards 2021, Monolith’s next title is a Wonder Woman video game. The reveal trailer shows the titular Wonder Woman herself, decked out in her traditional armor and wielding her iconic Lasso of Truth. The Wonder Woman game reveal trailer doesn’t reveal much beyond that, but additional details have been shared by Warner Bros. Interactive that paint a clearer picture of what the final product will be like.

As for when more news on the Wonder Woman video game will come, that’s up in the air. It seems like the Wonder Woman game would be an obvious pick for E3 2022 if Warner Bros. Interactive decides to expand its presence at the big show. Alternatively, it’s easy to see Wonder Woman popping up at Summer Game Fest as well, especially since Summer Game Fest is run by Game Awards host Geoff Keighley.
The other question is when exactly the Wonder Woman game will release. There was no release date or even a vague release window announced in the trailer, so it’s anyone’s guess as to when the Wonder Woman game will come out. The most likely scenario is that Wonder Woman won’t release until 2023 at the very earliest, so fans shouldn’t expect to get their hands on the game anytime soon.
Even so, there are multiple other DC video game projects in active development for fans to check out while they wait for Wonder Woman. 2022 is expected to see the release of both Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, so those looking for more DC Comics-based video games to play have a lot to look forward to in 2022 and beyond.
Wonder Woman is in development.
